What are the long-term effects of chiropractic care?
In previous blog posts, we have already discussed what chiropractic is, or how chiropractic also affects our nervous system.
Today we want to deal with a very common question: "What are the long-term effects of chiropractic care?".
In fact, this question is not at all easy to answer in a generalized way, as each body is unique and therefore may react differently to a spinal adjustment.
However, there are some similar symptoms that have been noted, especially at the beginning of therapy, such as a feeling of deep relaxation, improved sleep quality, increased flexibility of the body, release of tension, or a noticeable relief in the back.
For people who are in long-term chiropractic care and attend to their appointments regularly, the experiences tend to be even more varied, yet there is overlap of signs and effects here as well:
Very often anxiety and stress decrease, the use and intake of medications decreases, posture improves, stress resilience is increased, and furthermore, long-term clients gain a better knowledge and acquaintance with their own body functions (digestion, regulation of menstrual cycles, ...).
Basically there are many and diverse benefits of regular adjustments of the spine by a chiropractor, because the elimination of disorders in the spine leads to better nerve communication and thus to an improvement of the body's own performance.
